Properties: Pure carbendazim is a white crystal powder, while the technical is gray or brownish powder, begins sublime at 215-217℃, melts over 290℃, its decomposition is 306℃. Insoluble in water, slightly soluble in acetone, chloroform and some other organic solvents. Soluble in inorganic acids and acetic acid, meantime forming salts. Its chemical properties are stable.
Uses: Carbendazim is a systemic broad-spectrum fungicide controlling a wide range of pathogens; it also can be use as a preservative in textile, papermaking, leathers, and painter industry as well as a preservative of fruits.
Toxicity: Low toxic, acute oral LD50 to mice is more than 10000mg/kg.
